Common Questions I get about Breathwork
Question 1: Is it common for people to cry in class?
This is the biggest fear people have in attending a Breathwork class and one that will hold people back from even trying it. I’ll be honest, it can happen. BUT and this is a BIG but…. having an emotional release in this setting only happens when that person is ready. If there is any fear whatsoever within a person, an emotional release WILL NOT happen. So, if you don’t want it to happen, it won’t.
Question 2: Is there Breath holds in class?
The routine of a Soma Breath session is designed to increase immunity, and physical health and promote optimal respiratory and circulatory functions. A short breath hold is hugely beneficial to increasing your overall health physically. There are short periods of breath holds but you can “sip” the air throughout this part of the sequence, if desired. In class, I empower you to listen to your body.
Question 3: A Breathwork class seems like it would be soooo boring! Is it?
NO, but I may be biased! ha! If you LOVE music and relaxation then this is for YOU!! There is powerful interesting music set to a beautiful beat to fully guide you along in your breathwork. When we are “go go go” all the time in our everyday life, this class is designed for you to simply rest the mind, follow and be guided. You can totally surrender to the experience and come out the other side fully blissed out on happy endorphins for the rest for the day! Magic!
